Designed by Gary Borger to be the best all-around wading shoe, the Ultimate
has received accolades world-wide. It has supported anglers safely and
comfortably from Russia's Umba to New Zealand's Hunter, from the Test of
England to the Madison of Montana. Built to last, and last, and last, the
uppers are a double layer of synthetic leather-like material securely
stitched to an extra-thick, dense rubber midsole and sturdy
polypropylene-blend felt sole; these materials withstand years of wetting
and drying without a crack and without shrinkage. The fully gussetted
tongue and high top keep out gravel and the to-the -toe lacing makes foot
entry, even with heavy waders, as easy as putting on a pair of loafers.
Speed laces allow full, sure, and swift adjustment of the shoe to the
angler's foot. The full, stacked heel gives a sure-footed grip on all
sized stones. This shoe was built with the greatest care over four years
